
Brent Recalled To Chicago, Mosienko Signed By Hogs

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Tuesday that the National Hockey League club has recalled center Tim Brent from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
The recall is Brent's second of the season. The center was recalled on March 4 and made his Blackhawks debut on March 5 against the Anaheim Ducks logging 10:07 of ice time. Brent has appeared in 17 career NHL games, including 15 with Anaheim and one with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Brent was acquired by the Blackhawks on July 17, 2008 in exchange for defenseman Danny Richmond. The Cambridge, Ont. native was drafted by Anaheim in the third round (#75 overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Brent, Rockford's team captain, currently ranks second on the IceHogs with 50 points in 51 games including 19 goals and 31 assists and his second recall of the season comes on his 25th birthday.
Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard also announced on Tuesday that the IceHogs have signed center Tyler Mosienko to a PTO.
Mosienko, 24, has appeared in 50 games with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) this season notching 18g-30a-48pts. The fourth year pro has also skated in nine games with the Manchester Monarchs (AHL), scoring a goal and chipping in three assists.
The West St. Paul, Man. played in seven games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL) last season chipping in two goals and an assist. The 5-8, 175-pound center will be in Rockford for the IceHogs game on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Admirals.
