San Jose Sharks recall defenseman Derek Jolsin from Worchester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Derek Joslin from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Joslin has played in 11 games with the Sharks this season, posting six penalty minutes.

In 47 games with Worcester, he has 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) and 26 penalty minutes.

Joslin played for the Canadian AHL All-Star Team in Jan., where he won the Reebok "Hardest Shot" event with a shot registering 98.6 miles per hour at the AHL All-Star Skills Competition.

The six-foot-one, 205-pound native of Richmond Hill, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
