February 9, 2016 - CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union announced on Tuesday the club has acquired English-born goalkeeper Matt Jones via loan from Belenenses of Portugal's Primeira Liga, pending the approval of an international transfer certificate (ITC). Union Open Preseason with 1-0 Loss to Jacksonville Armada

February 6, 2016 - CHESTER, Pa. (Feb. 6, 2016) - Philadelphia Union opened their preseason Saturday night with a 1-0 loss to Jacksonville Armada FC at Community First Park at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The Union experimented by playing 31 different players with each getting at least a half hour of playing time. Charles Eloundou scored the eventual gamewinner in the 80th minute.
