Appalachian League Alumni to Participate in the Andre Dawson Classic

February 19, 2026 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Thirty-two Appalachian League alumni will suit up at the annual Andre Dawson Classic at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Fla., this weekend. Among the Appalachian League alumni in this year's event are 2025 Humanitarian of the Year Kenneth Jackson (Southern), as well as and Appy League All-Stars Pablo Torres (Bethune-Cookman) and Michael Rodriguez (Bethune-Cookman). Johnson City Doughboys Announce Jordan Thornton as New Assistant General Manager

February 4, 2026 - JOHNSON CITY, TN - The Johnson City Doughboys are excited to announce Jordan Thornton as the new Assistant General Manager effective immediately. Jordan has experience in field office administration and coaching softball at the JUCO level at Georgia Highlands College. Playing softball almost all her life, she completed her softball career at Lipscomb University with Lady Bison. Appalachian League Announces 2025 Charitable Contributions

February 3, 2026 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Appalachian League announced that its charitable outreach totaled $2.5 million of gift-in-kind and monetary donations in 2025. The league and its clubs volunteered more than 5,000 community service hours last year.
