
Wranglers Shutout by Condors 3-0

Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (22-9-10, 54 Points) were defeated by the Bakersfield Condors (25-12-5, 55 Points) 3-0 Rabobank Arena on Tuesday night. Goalie Jamie Hodson made 28 saves as the Condors shutout the Wranglers and took a one-point lead for first place in the Pacific Division over the Wranglers. Forwards Josh Liebenow and Andrew Ianeiro scored 52-seconds apart in the first period to lead the Condors to victory. Tonight's game marked the first time this season Las Vegas has been shutout and the first time the Condors have shutout a team all season. Mike McKenna took the loss for the Wranglers stopping 29 of 31 Bakersfield shots in the loss. Las Vegas will return home to host the Toledo Storm at 7:05 pm Friday, Saturday and Tuesday night.
In the first period, Bakersfield netted two goals in a 52-second span midway through the period. The first goal coming during a Wranglers' power play at 10:05, as Kevin Trueslon set up Josh Liebenow's 18th goal of the season. Truelson picked off a center-ice pass and led a two-on-one breakaway with Liebenow, who capitalized with a one-timer. Less than a minute later, Alex Kim sprung Andrew Ianeiro in front of the Las Vegas net all alone. Ianiero snapped home his ninth goal of the season for the 2-0 lead at 10:57.
After a scoreless second period, the Condors continued to shutout the Wranglers. Las Vegas pulled goalie Mike McKenna with one minute remaining for the extra attacker. Bakersfield sealed the win with an empty-net goal by Tyler Liebel with 13-seconds remaining for the 3-0 final.
Friday, February 2nd, the Wranglers host the Toledo Storm at 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans receive a Wranglers' projector pen, compliments of Case by Case Document Archiving Solutions. Saturday, February 3rd, the Wranglers host Toledo for NASCAR night at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will wear jerseys that resemble Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 car. The Budweiser sponsored car will be in the concourse for fans to see throughout the game. Prior to the game, fans may attend the Port of Subs pre-game party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
