Bombers shuffle roster

Dayton, OH-Dayton Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Dan LaCosta to the "AAA" Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

LaCosta, 20, has appeared in seven games with the Bombers this season, posting a 2-4-1 record, 3.62 goals against average and .886 save percentage. Most recently he started back-to-back games for the first time since November 10th and 11th, in Trenton when Adam Berkhoel received a call up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. He picked up a 3-1 victory in Johnstown on Sunday, by stopping 25 of 26 shots on goal and suffered a tough 2-1 loss on Tuesday despite stopping 24 of 26 shots on goal.

In nine games with the Crunch this season, LaCosta has posted a record of 1-2-1, 3.13 goals against average and .879 save percentage. He was an original draft pick of the Blue Jackets in the 3rd round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
