Nailers Goaltender Joins Syracuse Crunch

Wheeling, WV- The Wheeling Nailers announced today that goaltender Andy Franck has signed a professional try-out agreement with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Franck, 25, has appeared in 39 games with Wheeling this season, posting a 18-19-2 record, a 3.54 goals against average and a .896 save percentage.

A native of Lakewood, Ohio, Franck has appeared in 94 career ECHL games, all with Wheeling, posting a 51-34-7 record.

He will suit up for the Columbus Blue Jackets affiliate as they host Springfield on Friday, February 2. Franck has yet to appear in an AHL contest in his career.

The Nailers will visit the Blue Jackets' ECHL affiliate, the Dayton Bombers, on Friday before returning home to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones on Saturday.

Game time is 8 P.M. and the first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a Wheeling Naillers T-shirt.
