Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Fresno Falcons 3-2 on Tuesday night in front of 3,522 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forward Aki Seitsonen scored twice in the victory for Las Vegas. Mike McKenna stopped 31 of 33 shots for his 14th victory of the season. Fresno winger Luke Curtin tallied a shorthanded goal for the Falcons in the loss. Las Vegas heads to Bakersfield to face the Condors Wednesday night at the Rabobank Arena at 7:05pm (PST).
After a scoreless first period, Aki Seitsonen tallied his tenth goal of the year at 8:11 of the second period to give the Wranglers a 1-0 lead. Fresno tied the game 1-1 when Rob McFeeters scored for the 11th time this season. Wranglers' center Tyler Mosienko scored to give Las Vegas a 2-1 lead at 14:07 of the second period. Seitsonen scored his second goal of the night from Ryan Bonni and Scott Schoneck to give the Wranglers a 3-1 lead.
In the third period, Luke Curtin netted a shorthanded goal for the final score of 3-2.
Friday, February 2nd, the Wranglers host the Toledo Storm at 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans receive a Wranglers' projector pen, compliments of Case by Case Document Archiving Solutions. Saturday, February 3rd, the Wranglers host Toledo for NASCAR night at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will wear jerseys that resemble Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 car. The Budweiser sponsored car will be in the concourse for fans to see throughout the game. Prior to the game, fans may attend the Port of Subs pre-game party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
