Wranglers Welcome Steve Marr
Steve Marr has been assigned by the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the American Hockey League. Steve Marr will make his Las Vegas Wranglers and ECHL debut tonight against the Alaska Aces. Prior to the Wranglers, Marr played 29 games in Omaha this season, registering no points and 29 penalty minutes. He is in his first professional season. He made his professional hockey debut on October 8th at Iowa. Marr is the former captain of the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He played in 242 games in the WHL posting 44 points on 16 goals and 28 assists while adding 330 penalty minutes. The 62 207 lbs. native of Kamloops, BC helped the Tigers capture a WHL Championship and a spot in the 2004 Memorial Cup. In 44 playoff games, Marr collected nine points and 94 PIM.
Duke Dodge Balls are Coming!
The Wranglers will hand out 2,000 Duke Dodge Balls on Friday, February 17th. Friday marks the third time the Wranglers face the Fresno Falcons this season. Saturdays game against the Utah Grizzlies starts with a Port of Subs pre-game party from 4-6 PM in the Orleans Arena West Concourse. The fun continues with Anna Jack, the hula-hoop girl seen on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Schedule Reminder
Tonights match-up is the first home game for the Wranglers in three weeks. The Wranglers will return to the ice Tuesday, February 14th. There will be no game on Friday, February 10th. A home game originally scheduled Friday against Texas was replaced with a home game November 4th against Phoenix. Prior to the beginning of the season Texas was forced to withdraw from the ECHL due to the damage suffered in Hurricane Rita.
Edwardson Recalled to Portland
Center Derek Edwardson has been recalled to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. In 41 games this season with the Wranglers, Edwardson is third on the team in scoring with 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points. The center also added 36 penalty minutes and a +10 rating. The Morton Grove, IL native has played in four AHL games this season tallying an assist and two penalty minutes for the Portland Pirates. Edwardson played the 2004-05 season with the ECHLs Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. Last season, Edwardson also played in five AHL games, three with the Grand Rapids Griffins, and two with the Hamilton Bulldogs. Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-9 center played four years at Miami University(Ohio). During his time with the Redhawks, Edwardson accumulated 120 points in 135 games played. His best season came as a senior scoring 48 points (17g-31a) in 41 games played
