Reagan Rome Reassigned To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Reagan Rome has been reassigned from Manchester to Reading. In separate transactions, the Royals also received forward Doug Christiansen from the Hershey Bears, defenseman T.J. Kemp from the Iowa Stars, and goaltender Cody Rudkowsky from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. In another transaction completed yesterday, John Morlang was loaned to the Lowell Lock Monsters. Also, today, defenseman Brad Sullivan was released.

Rome was recalled to Manchester on December 31, 2005 and played 13 games for the Monarchs, picking up four assists and twenty-three penalty minutes. In twenty-one games with the Royals this year, Rome, a fourth year pro from Nesbitt, Manitoba, has scored 3 goals, assisted on 12 others and picked up 18 penalty minutes. Christiansen was loaned to Hershey last Saturday and played in the Bears' 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Phantoms last Saturday night. Kemp was loaned to the Iowa Stars on January 28 and played three games this past weekend for the Stars. Rudkowsky was loaned to Bridgeport on January 5 and played eight games for the Sound Tigers going 4-2-1-1 with a 2.21 goals against average and a .932 save percentage during his stay in the AHL. For Morlang, this marks his fifth trip to the AHL this season and his third call up to the Lowell Lock Monsters.

The Royals are back at the Sovereign Center tonight to take on the Johnstown Chiefs (7:00 pm). The first 2000 fans through the gates receive a set of Royals' player trading cards, commemorating the team's fifth anniversary season, courtesy of Rieck's Printing. Royals' game day broadcasts can be heard on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Ephrata and www.royalshockey.com with pre-game beginning 30 minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available through the Royals' website on a pay per view basis provided by B2 Networks.
