February 7, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors recently recorded their one millionth visitor to their website since its redesign in September 2004.
Jason Best, webmaster of bakersfieldcondors.com, reported that the milestone had been reached prior to the end of the 2005 calendar year. "Since the redesign in September 2004, we've had over a million visits to the site and over five million page hits," said Best. "It shows that the fans are hungry for team info on a daily basis."
The team also introduced several new features to supplement the winner of the 2004-05 ECHL Website of the Year award.
The Condors Mailbag allows fans to ask hard- hitting questions and receive answers straight from the source. Coaches, players and front office staff will field questions and comments regarding aspects of the team on and off the ice. The Mailbag will also serve as a Frequently Asked Questions page, listing the most common queries directed to the team.
The new multimedia elements on the site enable fans to relive their favorite moments of the season or keep up with games or highlights they might have missed. The website has started an audio archive with complete broadcasts of the Condors' matchups (aired on KGEO Hot Talk AM 1230) beginning with Paul Rosebush's return on January 14th. The Weekly Condors Coach's Shows are archived here as well, so you can listen on your own schedule. BakersfieldCondors.com also features archived video of game highlights and news reports courtesy of KGET-TV 17, as well as the team's TV commercials that have aired throughout the year.
The team's online store, has been redesigned and updated to display the latest merchandise to hit Condorstown. Fans can shop at home for jerseys, t- shirts, apparel and novelty items through the new online shop and get the goods straight from the team, delivered to your front door.
The website can be accessed in spanish by pointing your web browser to www.bakersfieldcondors.com, also available in Spanish via bakersfieldcondors.com/espanol. Don't forget to check out www.condorskids.com, the Condors site for our younger fans.
