Long Beach's Vellinga Suspended Two Games

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that it has suspended Long Beach defenseman Mike Vellinga as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #538 against San Diego on Feb. 4.

Vellinga was assessed a Major Penalty and Game Misconduct under Rule 48(a) - Checking From Behind.

Vellinga is suspended two games under Rule 33A Supplemental Discipline.

Vellinga will miss Long Beach's games at Victoria (Feb. 8) and at Victoria (Feb. 10).
