Avery Wilson Agrees to Terms With Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced it has agreed to terms with forward Avery Wilson. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wilson, 25, returns to Stockton after a stint in the Thunder's 2005-06 pre-season training camp. He proceeded to appear in one ECHL game with the South Carolina Stingrays, going scoreless. He has also spent time during the 2005-06 season in the Southern Professional Hockey League with the Jacksonville Barracudas and Columbus Cottonmouths, which included a 33-game stretch with Columbus, logging nine points (3g-6a) with the Cottonmouths.

He previously spent his college tenure with Finlandia College (NCAA) from 2001-04, which included a 13-point (7g-6a) spurt in five games with the Lions in 2003-04.

Wilson will wear jersey number 17 and is slated to be in uniform for the Thunder's 7 p.m. PT home game on Wednesday night against the Fresno Falcons.

The Thunder returns to play with a 7 p.m. PT face-off against the Falcons on Wednesday at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" fare at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks.
