
Wranglers' McKenna named to All-ECHL second team

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goalie Mike McKenna was named to the All-ECHL second team.
Mike McKenna has a 25-4-7 record and leads the ECHL with a goals-against average of 2.27 and a save percentage of .926 while he is tied for second with five shutouts. He has been selected to the ECHL All-Star Game in each of his first two seasons and in 2007 was voted as the starter and made 17 saves for the National Conference in the first period. The 23-year-old is 44-6-8 with six shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.22 and a save percentage of .925 in 61 regular season games and 1-1 with a goals-against average of 3.12 and a save percentage of .905 in four games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Selected in the sixth round (172nd overall) by the Nashville Predators in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft, McKenna was 19-2-1 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 2.13 and a save percentage of .923 in 25 regular season games as a rookie with Las Vegas last season.
McKenna played four years at St. Lawrence University in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference where he was 32-44-8 with a goals-against average of 3.01 and a save percentage of .905 save percentage in 95 games. He was named ECAC Rookie of the Week twice as a freshman in 2001-02.
Las Vegas will conclude the season with two games against Stockton at the Orleans Arena on Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th at 7:05 pm. Friday, the Wranglers will hand out hats to the first 2,000 fans compliments of KB Home.
