
Steelheads Make IR Moves

Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL announced today that veteran defenseman Darrell Hay has been placed on the 7-day IR, while veteran winger Scott Burt has been activated off the 7-day IR.
Hay, a seventh year pro, suffered an upper body injury last night against the Bakersfield Condors and will not be available for the remaining two games of the regular season. A member of the Steelheads' 2004 Kelly Cup championship team and in his third season with the Steelheads, Hay leads the club's blue-liners with 41 points in 65 games, while placing him 14th among all ECHL defenseman in scoring.
Burt, who missed the last five games while on the 7-day IR, has 25 points in 59 games, which ranks ninth on the team. A Mackenzie, BC native, Burt is the Steelheads' ECHL leader in games played (250) and like Hay, was an integral part of the Steelheads championship run in 2004. Burt's addition to the lineup gives the Steelheads 16 skaters for tomorrow night when they take on the Bakersfield Condors at 8:05 p.m. MST.
