TRENTON, NJ (April 5, 2007) - The ECHL announced that Trenton Titans left wings Scott Bertoli and Mike Pandolfo have been named to the 2006-07 All-ECHL Second Team. The duo become the first players from the Titans to receive this honor since goaltender Dan Murphy was selected to the All-ECHL Second Team in 2001-02
Bertoli, 30, is having a career year in his eighth professional season. The Milton, Ontario-native has set personal season highs with 30 goals and 76 points in 61 games, while his 46 assists in one short of his career-high of 47 set last year. Currently tied for tenth in ECHL and the team's leader with 76 points, Bertoli also ranks tops on Trenton in goals (30) and assists (46).
A member of the Titans since their inaugural season in 1999-2000, Bertoli remains Trenton's most prolific scorer as the franchise's all-time leader for games played (504), goals (181), assists (342) and points (523).
Pandolfo, the Titans' leader with 67 points (36g, 31a) at the time of his assignment to the Lowell Devils (AHL) on February 13, was also the ECHL's top goal scorer with 36 in 48 games.
Selected in the third round (77th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1998 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Pandolfo had 25 points (14g-11a) in 23 games with Reading of the ECHL in 2005-06 before finishing the season in Germany, where he had 22 points (13g-9a) in 18 games for Munich. He played his first three seasons in the AHL where he registered 71 points (35g-36a) in 213 games with Syracuse, while also skating for three games in the NHL with Columbus in 2003-04.
Bertoli and Pandolfo become the third and fourth Titans players, respectively, to be named to the All-ECHL team, joining Murphy and goaltender Scott Stirling, an All-ECHL First Team selection in 2000-01.
