Wranglers host Fresno Tuesday, Phoenix Friday

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 1-1-1 record last week, starting with a 3-2 shootout loss to Idaho on Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas was shutout by Texas 4-0 on Friday night at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers bounced back with a 4-3 win at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night.

The Wranglers continue to battle with Bakersfield for first place in the Pacific Division. Both team have 82 points and lead the division, but the Condors have a game in hand. Las Vegas will host Fresno on Tuesday and Phoenix on Friday at 7:05 pm. Saturday night the Wranglers visit the RoadRunners at 7:11 pm. Las Vegas will round out their week in Long Beach on Sunday at 5:00 pm.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Idaho Steelheads 3-2 in a shootout on Tuesday night in front of 3,679 fans at the Orleans Arena. Defenseman Kyle Peto's goal in the ninth round of the shootout was the game-winner for Idaho. Wranglers' defenseman Jason Jozsa and forward Derek Edwardson each scored for Las Vegas in the loss. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna stopped 21 of 23 shots in the game and eight of nine shots in the shootout loss. Idaho goalie Steve Silverthorn made 27 saves in the game and stopped all nine Las Vegas shooters in the shootout.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Texas Wildcatters 4-0 on Friday night in front of 4,705 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wildcatters' goalie Matt Yeats stopped all 24 Wranglers shots in the victory, his second shutout in as many nights. Texas winger Brandon Cote recorded a goal and an assist in the win. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk stopped all 12 shots he faced after Mike McKenna was pulled midway through the second period.

Saturday, March 10th

Texas 3 at Las Vegas 4

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Texas Wildcatters 4-3 on Saturday night in front of 4,986 fans at the Orleans Arena. Ryan Donally's second goal of the season proved to be the game-winner for the Wranglers. Winger Adam Cracknell, playing in only his second game after missing 41 games due to injury, scored a goal and added an assist for Las Vegas in the win. Texas forward Mike Bayrack scored his 30th goal of the season in the loss.

Fresno Falcons - (32-22-5, 69 points, 3rd Place, Pacific) -

Las Vegas leads the season series with 4-1-2 record. The Falcons are 15-14-2 on the road this season and 7-2-1 in their last ten games played. All-Star Luke Curtin leads the team in scoring with 19 goals and 48 assists for 67 points in 50 games played. Former Wrangler Lucas Lawson has five points in 16 games with the Falcons. Forward John Morlang is second on the team in scoring with 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points.

Phoenix RoadRunners - (25-30-5, 55 points, 4th Place, West) -

Las Vegas leads the all-time series with a 12-2-2 record, including a 4-2-1 mark this season. Phoenix is 2-7-1 in their last ten games played. Forward Justin Aikins leads Phoenix in scoring with 49 points in 58 games played. Goalie Cody Rudkowsky is 8-13-3 with a 3.30 goals against average.

Long Beach Ice Dogs - (22-34-3, 47 points, 5th Place, West) -

Las Vegas leads the all-time series with a 15-7-4 record, including a 2-0-2 mark this season. Second-year winger Ash Goldie leads the team in scoring with 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points. Goalie Mike Brown is 12-18-2 with a 3.22 goals against average and a .896 save percentage. Newcomer Ryan Bennett has 21 points and 23 games with Long Beach.
