Weekly Summary: The Chiefs visited Trenton on Wednesday, losing 5-2 before returning home to defeat Wheeling 5-2 on Friday evening before losing to Cincinnati 4-1 on Saturday and Toledo 4-2 on Sunday.

Great Performances: Morgan Cey earned his 18th win of the season against Wheeling on March 9.

Grant Jacobsen scored two goals, including a shorthand goal, in Friday's win against Wheeling. Jacobsen added a goal against Cincinnati to give him three goals for the weekend.

Geoff Waugh scored the first goal of his professional career on Friday night against Wheeling.

Dmitri Tarabrin picked up four points (2g, 2a) in the Chiefs 5-2 win against Wheeling on Friday.

Ian MacLean scored his first professional goal against Toledo on Sunday. It was the only power-play goal that the Chiefs scored this week.

Last week's games:

March 7 @ Trenton (2-5 L) Bryan Nathe scored his second goal of the season, and Dmitri Tarabrin added a goal in the second period, but Trenton picked up three goals in a span of 1:09 in the first period to secure the win. Morgan Cey made 31 saves on 35 shots, and the Johnstown power play was 0-for-4.

March 9 vs. Wheeling (5-2 W) Jon Smyth got the Nailers on the board at 7:32 of the first period, but Geoff Waugh answered back for the Chiefs just 36 seconds later. Grant Jacobsen and Dmitri Tarabrin would each add two goals as Johnstown cruised to a 5-2 victory on home ice. The Chiefs were 0-for-5 on the power play and Morgan Cey made 20 saves on 22 shots to earn his 18th win of the season.

March 10 vs. Cincinnati (1-4 L) Mike Wirll scored two goals for Cincinnati and Jean-Michel Daoust and Greg Stewart each added goals as the Cyclones beat the Chiefs 4-2 at the War Memorial. Grant Jacobsen scored Johnstown's only goal, his third of the weekend. The Chiefs went 0-for-5 on the power-play and Morgan Cey made 20 saves, earning the loss.

March 11 vs. Toledo (2-4 L) Toledo got on the board early with a power-play goal from Jeff Attard and never looked back, earning a 4-1 win at the War Memorial. Zbynek Hrdel scored his eighth goal of the season, and Ian MacLean scored a power-play goal, the first goal of his professional career, but it would not be enough. The Chiefs were 1-for-4 on the man-advantage and Ryan Munce made 19 saves, taking the loss.

Chiefs Notes: Ian MacLean scored his first professional goal on Sunday... Geoff Waugh scored his first professional goal in the Chiefs 5-2 win against Wheeling on Friday... Grant Jacobsen had his first two-goal game of the season against Wheeling on Friday... Dmitri Tarabrin's four points (2g, 2a) on Friday were his eighth multiple-point game of the season, but his first four-point game this year...Johnstown went 1-for-20 on the power play this week, and is 2-for-44 over the past eight games... The Chiefs face Reading on Saturday, and have only lost once to the Royals in regulation time this season... John Adams returned to the lineup on Sunday for the first time since February 28. Adams missed six games with a lower-body injury... Johnstown is the least penalized team in the ECHL, having been assessed just 1017 minutes in penalties this season, 64 fewer minutes than Augusta, the next least-penalized team in the league... The Chiefs made no transactions last week.
