BOMBERS NOTES

*Nailing Down the Competition! After going 0-12 against the Wheeling Nailers in the 2005-06 season, the Bombers have yet to lose to them in regulation, posting a dominant 7-0-2 record against them this season. The Bombers have also held their own against all the other opponents in the North Division by posting a record of 27-17-6. They have a winning record or a .500 record against every team in the Division except Toledo (3-4-1). They are a combined 11-1-3 against Wheeling and Johnstown, two of last year's playoff representatives in the Division.

*The Number 23! The Bombers have earned 23 of their 30 victories on the season when they score a power play goal (23-7-6) and they have had at least 23 different players' record one point this season, including goaltenders Adam Berkhoel and Terry Denike.

*Lighting The Lamp! The Bombers offense has done nothing but score lately. During their current streak of eight games without a regulation loss, they have lit the lamp for 36 goals (4.5 per game) and have now improved their average goals per game to 2.98 (up from 2.8 last week). The Power play has come on of late as well, moving up from 22nd in the ECHL to 13th after going (13/47 27.7%) in the last ten games.

*Denike Does The Job! Since the call ups to both Adam Berkhoel (Rochester) and Dan LaCosta (Syracuse), reigning ECHL Goalie of the Week Terry Denike has now started in nine straight games for the Bombers. He has been nothing but consistent in between the pipes, posting a record of 6-1-2, 1.98 goals against average, .932 save percentage and a shutout.

* Bombs Away! The Bombers have out shot their opponents in 44 of 56 games played in this season and have fired 40 shots on goal in 11 of those 43 games (6-4-1 record). They are currently ranked 6th in the ECHL averaging 33.82 shots for per game and lead the league in least shots against at 27.07 allowed per game.

LOOK OUT BELOW

*Say Hello to Mr. Anderson! On Saturday, the Bombers signed rookie Bryce Anderson from the Ohio State University. The 6'2" 195-pound native of Waterloo, Iowa, had no trouble fitting into the lineup. In his first career professional game, Anderson recorded an assist on the game tying goal in the second period in the Bombers 4-2 win over Wheeling.
