
Wranglers conclude six-game home stand this week

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 2-1-0 record for the week starting with a 5-2 win at home over the San Diego Gulls last Tuesday night. Friday night, Las Vegas bounced Fresno 6-1 at the Orleans Arena. Saturday, the Utah Grizzlies defeated Las Vegas 5-0 at the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers will conclude their six-game home stand this week with three games at the Orleans Arena. Tuesday, the Wranglers welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm. Friday and Saturday the Idaho Steelheads visit the Wranglers at 7:05 pm. Saturday, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 in the concourse of the Orleans Arena. Also, on Saturday night the Zooperstars will perform.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the San Diego Gulls 5-2 Tuesday night in front of 3,816 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' winger Steve Crampton tallied the second Wranglers Hat trick in as many home games to pace Las Vegas. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 19 saves to pick up his 23rd win of the season. Forwards Darren Lynch and Marco Peluso each added goals. Leading scorers Dan Tudin and Matt Dzieduszycki each dished out two assists.

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Fresno Falcons 6-1 Friday night in front of 6,589 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forward Steve Crampton scored two goals in the win as the Wranglers moved to 20-1-2 at home this season. Center Matt Dzieduszyski scored a goal and added three assists for Las Vegas, Left wing Dan Tudin scored once and assisted on two others, becoming the team's all-time leading scorer with 98 career points. Goalie Marc Magliarditi picked up his 24th win of the season with 17 saves.
Saturday, February 18th
Utah 5 at Las Vegas 0
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were shutout 5-0 by the Utah Grizzlies on Saturday night in front of 7,087 fans at the Orleans Arena. Utah goalie Alfie Michaud made 28 saves as Las Vegas was shutout for the first time all season. The Wranglers suffered only their second loss of the season at home. The Grizzlies won their eighth straight game behind the offense of Louis Dumont and Ryan Kinasewich, both with a goal and two assists.
Sloan Returns From Manitoba
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the return of defenseman Tyler Sloan from Manitoba of the American Hockey League. Sloan departed after 29 games with the Wranglers. The 24-year old notched two goals and dished out 11 assists for 13 points. The Calgary native missed 17 games from December 18th to January 25th due to an injury. Sloan played in two games with Manitoba without registering a point.
This Week's Opponent-
Victoria Salmon Kings - (16-30-5, 37 Points) - The Wranglers are 1-0-0 against the Kings this season, beating Victoria 3-1 at the Orleans in late November. Victoria comes in winless in their last seven games at 0-5-2. The game features the return of former Wranglers' fan favorite Adam Huxley. Huxley was traded to Victoria on December 8th, 2005 for future considerations. The Salmon Kings feature a new coach in Troy Ward who took over for Bryan Maxwell on January 18th, posting a 2-7-4 record. Lanny Gare leads the team in scoring with 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 46 games played.
Idaho Steelheads - (29-16-7, 65 Points) - The Wranglers are 3-1-1 against the Steelheads this season. Las Vegas has been outscored 21-20 in the season series. Idaho feature's former Wrangler and ECHL leading scorer Garett Bembridge, who leads the league with 36 goals and 75 points in 52 games played. Center D'Arcy McConvey has 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points in 39 games played. Idaho features the best road power play (26 %) in the ECHL and second best overall at 23.3 %.
