STORM NOTES

- The Belly of the Beast! Toledo is currently inside its longest run of the season playing 13 games in 19 days. Toledo has survived the first 8 of those with a 6-2-0 record. Toledo had won 5 of those in a row before being dropped by Dayton on Sunday.

- 2006 Is The Year! Since the turn of the calendar from 2005 to 2006, Toledo is an outstanding 14-4-2. During that time the Storm are averaging: 3.5 goals per game while allowing 2.8 per game, 36.2 shots per game while allowing just 28.3 per game, and has killed off 100 of the last 113 power plays against (88.4%).

- Power Play! The Storm Power Play did not finish the weekend well going 0-10 combined on Saturday and Sunday. However, for the season the numbers are still strong as Toledo ranks 12th at 18.8% (57 goals in 304 chances).

- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked in the top 10 for the first time this season. Only 3 teams have allowed fewer power plays goals than the 44 the Storm has (Long Beach 41, Wheeling and Alaska 43). Overall Toledo has stopped 229 of 273 power play chances against (83.9%).

STORM WATCH

- Storm Coach's Show! The Toledo Storm Coach's Show will be on hiatus until February 28th due to Toledo playing in Dayton this Tuesday. Storm defenseman Jason Maleyko will join Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Matt Melzak for that next show at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company.

- The Week Ahead! Toledo will start its busiest week of the year Tuesday night in Dayton against the Bombers. Toledo 5-3-1 against Dayton this season. The Bombers downed Toledo 1-0 Sunday afternoon for its first win against Toledo since November 27th. Dayton is the only North Division Foe to defeat Toledo 3 times this season. Friday night, Toledo travels to Johnstown for a meeting with the Chiefs. The Storm have won 5 of first 7 meetings this season, however the Chiefs won the last one 5-3 on February 10th. Saturday and Sunday, the Storm will welcome in the Reading Royals. Toledo is 5-1-1 against Reading this season, including a 4-3 overtime win against the Royals in the last meeting at the Sports Arena on February 1st.

- Scooter Smith has 1 goal and 4 assists in his last 3 games.
- Robert Snowball scored his first goal since January 6th on Friday night.
