LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-2-0

OVERALL RECORD: 30-10-10, 70 pts.,

1st Place Pacific Division

Feb. 14 vs. Idaho, 3-1 Loss - Special teams proved the difference in Fresno's first regulation loss at home since Dec. 4. Idaho converted on a pair of five-on-three power plays, while the Falcons failed on their three chances with a two-man advantage. J.F. Plourde scored the team's only goal of the game for his 20th of the year.

Feb. 17 @ Las Vegas, 6-1 Loss - The Falcons allowed a shorthanded goal 3:28 into the hockey game and things went downhill from there as the club remained winless (0-3-1) against the Wranglers this season. Fresno's only bright spot was Shawn Mather's team-leading 24th goal of the year.

Feb. 18 @ Stockton, 3-2 Overtime Win - Fresno generated a season-high 59 shots on goal but still needed overtime to finally defeat the Thunder for the ninth time this season in as many games. Kelsey Muench scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at two mid-way through the third before Luke Curtin swept in a rebound for the game-winner on the power play 3:25 into the extra session.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Friday, Feb. 24 vs. Bakersfield Condors, 7 p.m.* - The Falcons have only one game this week as they welcome the Condors to Save Mart Center. The ZOOperstars will entertain fans between periods, and the players will be wearing Mardi Gras-themed jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit Hinds Hospice.

NOTES

. The two regulation losses in a row last week matched Fresno's season-high losing streak. They have suffered two straight regulation defeats on only one other occasion this year, Nov. 8 and 11 at the hands of the Wranglers and Utah Grizzlies, respectively.

. The Falcons' win over Stockton on Saturday moved the club to 16-0-4 against fellow Pacific Division teams this season.

. Luke Curtin still leads the team in overall scoring with 62 points (17g-45a), which is fifth best in the ECHL. The eighth-year pro is closing in on 500 points for his career with 498 (185g-313a) as the week begins.

. The Falcons begin the week atop the Pacific Division with a six-point lead over the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs with two games in hand.
