Gajic Recalled to AHL Providence

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Mlan Gajic has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Drafted in the 4th round of the 2001 NHL draft by the Atlanta Thrashers and under contract to Providence of the AHL, Gajic was assigned to Gwinnett on December 26th from the Burins after recording an assist in just 13 AHL games to start the season.

Gajic currently ranks 10th in rookie scoring in the ECHL with 43 points in 28 games this season with the Gladiators. He has collected 20 goals and 23 assists and ranks sixth in scoring on the Gladiators. Gajic is one of five Gladiators to record 20 goals so far this season.

The Burnaby, B.C. was named the ECHL Player of the Week for the week of January 9th through the 15th. During the week, he recorded eight assists and nine points for the Gladiators including the game wining goal for Gwinnett in a 2-1 win over the Greenville Grrrowl on January 10th.

Prior to turning professional this year, Gajic spent four years at the University of Michigan where he scored 115 points (53g-62a) in 159 games and helped the Wolverines win the CCHA championship and advance to the Frozen Four in 2001-02 and 2002-03.

The Gwinnett Gladiators continue the 2005-06 ECHL season on the road as they travel to Florida to take on the Everblades on Friday, February 24th at 7:30 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
