
Wranglers Beat Salmon Kings, 3-1

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® were able to knock off the Victoria Salmon Kings for the second night in a row in front of 3,322 at the Orleans Arena. Goaltender Michael Ouzas tallied his fifth win of the season as he turned away 15 of 16 shots. Blake Gallagher, Vince Bellissimo and Ned Lukacevic all scored for Las Vegas and Ryan MacMurchy tallied the lone goal for Victoria. David Shantz recorded his fifth loss overall and second in two nights. Neither team was able to capitalize on the power play going 0-16, combined. The Wranglers defense was able to hold the Salmon Kings to 16 total shots never allowing more than seven in a period.
The first period action was quiet compared to the three Wranglers' goals from the previous night. Neither team was able find the net in the first twenty minutes as Las Vegas held Victoria to only five shots.
The Wranglers took a one-goal lead at the 18:21 mark of the second period as Blake Gallagher's deflection snuck past David Shantz assisted by Barry Goers and Tyler Mosienko.
Las Vegas extended the lead in the third period when Vince Bellissimo found the back of the net at 6:03 with assists going to Aaron Power and Matt Price. Victoria cut into the lead at the 17:56 mark with an unassisted wrist shot from Ryan MacMurchy. The Wranglers tallied the final goal of the game when Ned Lukacevic beat the last defensemen and found the back of Victoria's empty net.
The Wranglers face off against the Salmon Kings again Saturday night before they head out on a seven game road trip. The puck drops at 7:05PM.
