Worcester Sharks Host Online Jersey Auction to Benefit Autism Resource Center of Central Massachuset

Worcester, MA - The Worcester Sharks (@WorcesterSharks), proud American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that the club will auction off the remaining Autism Awareness jerseys during an online auction to benefit the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts on www.SharksAHL.com beginning on Sunday, November 17 at 8p.m. (EST).

The Sharks sported the autism awareness jerseys during Worcester's 5-2 loss to the Providence Bruins on November 9, 2013 at the DCU Center.

A portion of the proceeds of the online jersey auction will benefit the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts.

The online jersey auction to benefit the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts begins on Sunday, November 17 at 8p.m. (EST) and concludes on Sunday, November 24 at 8p.m. (EST) and will consist of the following jerseys;

Matt Tennyson - game worn #5 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks defenseman and Western Michigan Univ. alum Matt Tennyson. Matt became the 1st member of the San Jose Jr. Sharks to suit up for the San Jose Sharks as he played four games last year in the NHL. Led all Worcester Sharks defensemen with 27 points last season.

John McCarthy - game issued #7 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks forward and BU alum John McCarthy. The former Worcester Sharks captain and MVP is currently on recall with the San Jose Sharks and won a national championship with BU.

Konrad Abeltshauser - game worn #10 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from rookie Sharks defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser. A native of Germany, Konrad won the Memorial Cup with the Halifax Mooseheads in 2013 and was original drafted by the SJ Sharks in 2010.

Freddie Hamilton - game worn #12 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks forward Freddie Hamilton. Freddie made his NHL debut this season and played four games with San Jose; including a game at the Boston Bruins vs. his brother Dougie. Hamilton played all 76 games last year for Worcester and played in Niagara in the OHL.

Matt Nieto - game issued #17 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks forward and BU alum Matt Nieto. Matt has spent the entire season this year with the San Jose Sharks and scored his first NHL goal. The Long Beach, CA native was drafted in the 2nd round by the Sharks in 2011.

Matt Pelech - game worn #23 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks forward Matt Pelech. Matt picked up a fighting major and nine penalty minutes in the jersey. Pelech scored his 1st NHL goal this season vs. Roberto Luongo and has over 1,000 penalty minutes in the AHL in his career.

Harri Sateri - game worn #35 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks goalie Harri Sateri. Harri was the backup goalie for the game. A native of Finland, Harri ranks 3rd in Worcester Sharks franchise history in wins and was original drafted by the SJ Sharks in 2008.

Peter Sivak - game issued #22 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey for forward Peter Sivak. Peter is currently signed by the Alaska Aces and leads the entire ECHL in points. Sivak scored four goals in nine games last year for the Worcester Sharks.

Kyle Bigos - game issued #6 Autism Awareness Worcester Sharks jersey from Sharks rookie defenseman and Merrimack College alum Kyle Bigos. Kyle is currently with the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL where he scored his first professional goal. Bigos attended the San Jose and Worcester Sharks training camps this season as a rookie.
