WOLVES REWIND (1-2-0-0)

Sun., Jan. 8 (at) Chicago 6, Omaha 3 --- Chicago opened up a three-goal second-period lead and held off the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights to win, 6-3, at the Allstate Arena --- Right wing RAMZI ABID (3A) and defenseman BRAYDON COBURN (G, 2A) each netted three points while blueliner MARK POPOVIC added a goal and an assist --- Netminder STEVE SHIELDS recorded 23 saves

Sat., Jan. 7 Iowa 5, (at) Chicago 1 --- The Wolves allowed four goals in the second period and fell into a 5-0 hole before losing, 5-1, to the Iowa Stars at the Allstate Arena --- Right wing PAT DWYER notched Chicago's lone tally, while center KIP MILLER and defenseman NICK NAUMENKO added assists --- Goaltenders ADAM BERKHOEL (six saves on 10 shots) and TUOMAS TARKKI (13-14) combined for 19 saves in BERKHOEL's loss

Fri., Jan. 6 (at) Omaha 3, Chicago 1 --- Chicago surrendered three late first-period goals in a span of 4:30 and never recovered, as the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights handed the Wolves a 3-1 loss at the Omaha Civic Auditorium --- Right wing JUSTIN MORRISON collected the Wolves goal with forwards PAT DWYER and JARED ROSS picking up assists --- Netminder STEVE SHIELDS posted 21 saves on 24 shots after being assigned by the Atlanta Thrashers earlier in the week on a conditioning stint

--- RAMZI ABID: Registered a season-high three assists on Sunday after being reassigned by the Atlanta Thrashers earlier in the day ... Collected one assist and two penalty minutes in two games with Atlanta ... Notched 10 points (3G, 7A) in his last four games with Chicago ... Paces the Wolves and ranks 13th in the league with 37 points in 33 contests ... Leads the squad with 17 goals, 20 assists and nine power-play tallies

--- BRAYDON COBURN: Tallied a season-high two assists and three points - along with a fighting major to complete the Gordie Howe Hat Trick - on Sunday after being held to three assists in his previous seven games ... Holds second on the squad with a +10 plus/minus rating ... Posted 10 assists and 14 points in 28 games with Chicago this season

--- MARK POPOVIC: Matched a season-high two points (G, A) on Sunday, which includes posting his fifth goal of the season to set a pro career high ... Shares fifth on the Wolves with 18 points (5G, 13A) in 32 games this season ... Registered one goal and 18 points in 74 games with the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks last season

--- PAT DWYER: Notched seven points (4G, 3A) in his last 11 games after being held to two goals in his previous 11 ... Shares first on the team and second among AHL rookies with two short-handed goals this season ... Ranks third on the squad with five power-play goals

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago has earned one point in four of its last five home games (3-1-1-0); the squad will play five of its next seven tilts at the Allstate Arena.

--- The Wolves registered multiple power-play goals on Sunday for the 10th time this season (7-2-0-1) and the third time in their last six contests.

--- Chicago will match up against North Division rivals in each of its next three contests; the team has accrued a 3-3-0-0 mark against the North Division this season, which includes wins in each of the last three.

GOAL AWAY

Chicago tallied six goals on Sunday after being held to one marker in each of its previous two games; the Wolves have collected six or more goals four times in 34 games this season after posting six or more five times last season.

NOTABLE

The Wolves will host their 12th Annual Season Ticket Holder Party at GameWorks in Schaumburg on Tue., Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet their favorite players, get autographs and challenge them in several interactive games.
