
River Rats Play 1,000th Game At Pepsi Arena This Saturday

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that on Saturday night the team will become the 15th franchise in American Hockey League's 70-year history to skate in 1,000 regular season games.
"It speaks to not only the support of our fans but ownership as well to achieve this type of longevity," said President/CEO S. Garen Szablewski. "We are proud to continue the tradition of River Rats hockey and look forward to entertaining Capital District families for another 1,000 games."
The first 1,000 fans in attendance will be handed an envelope on their way through the turnstiles, each of which will have either a cash or River Rat themed prize. They will win cash prizes ranging from two dollars all the way to a $1,000 grand prize, or giveaways from previous seasons including individual and team photos, player cards and other memorabilia.
