--- Chicago erased a second-period deficit but was victimized by three third-period goals as it was defeated by the visiting Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, 6-4, at the Allstate Arena
--- Center KEVIN DOELL registered three points (2G, A) while right wing STEPHEN BABY collected one goal and one assist
--- Netminder JANI HURME posted 29 saves on 35 shots

--- The Milwaukee Admirals notched three unanswered goals for a come-from-behind, 3-1 victory against the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena

--- KEVIN DOELL: Matched a career-high two goals and three points on Saturday against Omaha after being held scoreless in his previous three games ... Shares third on the club with six goals and ranks fifth with 11 points in 19 outings this season after accruing four markers and 12 points in 45 contests with Chicago last year


--- RAMZI ABID: Registered nine points (5G, 4A) in his last eight games, which includes a point in each of his last four ... Paces the team with 10 markers, six power-play tallies and 20 points in 19 games this season ... Ranks second on the squad with 10 assists and third with 54 penalty minutes


--- MARK POPOVIC: Posted two points (G, A) in his last two games after being held to two (G, A) in his previous five ... Paces Wolves blueliners with three goals, two power-play markers and 10 points in 18 games ... Registered a career-high four goals in 74 games with the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in 2003-04 ... --- STEPHEN BABY: Registered a goal and an assist - his first points of the season - on Saturday against Omaha after being scratched for the previous eight contests ... Held scoreless in his first 10 outings of the season ... Accrued nine points (3G, 6A) and a career-high 115 penalty minutes in 64 games with the Wolves last season


--- KARL STEWART: Collected two points (G, A) in his last three games after notching just two (G, A) in his previous six ... Shares third in the AHL with two short-handed goals ... Ranks fifth on the club with five markers and 40 penalty minutes in 16 contests this season ... Accrued career-highs with 16 goals and 226 penalty minutes in 77 games with the Wolves last year


--- JANI HURME: Registered losses in each of his first two games with the Wolves, his first starts in three years after missing the last two seasons due to injury ... Posted a 29-25-11 mark with a 2.61 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage in 76 NHL appearances with Ottawa (1999-2002) and Florida (2002-03)

WOLF TRACKS


--- The Wolves have lost four straight games, one shy of matching a season high; the losing streak has dropped the team four games below .500 for the first time since November 2002.


--- Chicago has allowed 13 goals in its last three tilts after surrendering just eight in its previous three.


--- The Wolves were held to a season-low 15 shots on Saturday against Omaha; the team ranks 22nd in the AHL with an average of 27.79 shots per game.


--- The Wolves will make their first-ever trip to the state of Iowa this Saturday when they battle the Stars at Wells Fargo Arena.

SHORTING IT OUT

Chicago shares third in the AHL with six short-handed goals; the team has collected four of its shorties on the road, which is tied for second in the league. Last year, the Wolves didn't record their first short-handed tally until their 27th game.

NOTABLE

Wolves forward KARL STEWART will receive a humanitarian award at the 18th Annual Chicago Sports Fans Choice Awards at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago on Thu., Dec. 8. STEWART joins Chicago Bears offensive lineman John Tait, Chicago Bulls center Tyson Chandler, Chicago Blackhawks Hall-of-Famer Denis Savard and former White Sox outfielder Aaron Rowand as a recipient of the 2005 honor.
