Norfolk Admirals News Release
NORFOLK, VA - Last week, the Admirals outlasted Binghamton in a high-scoring affair before dropping two close matches to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. On November 30th, Andy Hilbert notched Norfolk's first natural hat trick while Martin St. Pierre registered four assists to lead the Admirals to a 5-4 win. The visiting Penguins then won twice by a 3-2 count, with a tally in overtime on December 2nd and a power play goal late in the third period on December 3rd.
Norfolk concludes a five-game homestand with matches against Albany and Bridgeport this week.
STANDINGS
At 9-11-2-1 (21 pts), Norfolk is currently fifth in the East. The division is led by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (20-0-2-1, 43 pts) followed by Hershey (14-4-2-4, 34 pts), Philadelphia (11-13-0-2, 24 pts) and Bridgeport (10-12-2-0, 22 pts). Binghamton (7-13-2-1, 17 pts) sits in sixth place.

TEAM NOTEBOOK
- The Admirals were outshot twice last week (11/30 vs. Binghamton, 12/3 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton), for only the fourth and fifth times this year. Norfolk is 3-1-1-0 when the opposition records more shots on goal.
- Norfolk's 3-2 overtime loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on December 2nd was the team's first home overtime loss since a 2-1 OTL to Hershey on January 14, 2004.
- On the 30th, Martin St. Pierre tied a franchise record with four assists in one game.
- Mark Cullen has points in four consecutive games played (3g, 2a), though two games (November 5-6) were prior to his call-up to Chicago, and two games are since his return on December 1st.
- Quintin Laing has six points (1g, 5a) over the last five games.

- 6th Annual Toy Toss - Bring a plush toy to the game and toss it onto the ice when the Admirals score their first goal! The toys will be collected and donated to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and the Ronald McDonald House. (If the Admirals don't score, the Toy Toss will take place following the game.)
- STIHL's Hometown Heroes - Throughout the season, STIHL Inc. and the Admirals will recognize individuals who make a difference in the Hampton Roads Community. The next Hometown Hero will be honored with a presentation during the game that evening.
