Wolves Release Sanford

The Chicago Wolves have released defenseman JAMES SANFORD.

SANFORD appeared in seven games with the Wolves, recording one assist and six penalty minutes, after being signed to a Professional Tryout Contract on Nov. 18.

Prior to joining Chicago, the 24-year-old blueliner recorded eight assists, 11 points and eight penalty minutes in 12 matchups with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies. He notched 24 assists and 33 points in 49 outings with the Grizzlies last season.

The Wolves return to action on Fri., Dec. 12, when they face the Iowa Chops at Wells Fargo Arena at 7 p.m.
