Rochester Americans Announce Tickets For Troops Program

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today their "Tickets for Troop" program for the remainder of the 2008-09 season. The program allows active military members and veterans to purchase tickets at a discounted price for home games Sunday through Thursday nights.
"I have always known and referred to The Blue Cross Arena as the War Memorial Arena for many years before we arrived on the scene here this past summer," said Amerks President Lewis Staats "We also have a tribute to the veterans inside the Arena to honor their memory. It is very fitting that the Amerks will be rolling out this new promotion for the remainder of the year giving any member of our military, both past and present, a discount to come and watch exciting AHL action at the BCA."
The discount will kick off on Sunday, December 14th and include 15 of the final 25 home games. That night, the Amerks host the rival Syracuse Crunch at 6:05 p.m.
The ticket can be purchased at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office with the presentation of a Military ID or an American Legion or VFW membership card. The limit is four per order. Seats in the 100 and 200 Premium sections are available for just $10, which is a savings of $12.25 and all 200 End seats are available for just $5, which is a discount of $13.25 off game-day pricing.
