Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves will host their annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the Belvidere/Boone County Food Pantry, presented by Sweet Tomatoes, at five home games during the month of November: Sat., Nov. 20; Sun., Nov. 21; Tue., Nov. 23; Sat., Nov. 27; and Tue., Nov. 30.
Every fan that donates a canned good or non-perishable food item will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win gift certificates to Sweet Tomatoes.
"The Wolves know that families are going through difficult times, so it is even more important for us to step up during the holiday season and collect as much food as we can for the Belvidere/Boone County Food Pantry," said Senior Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "We thank our fans for their continued support, and hope that our small part will make a big difference for those in need."
Last year, the Wolves collected nearly 2,000 pounds of food at five home games. Wolves fans have donated nearly 15,000 pounds of food in 10 seasons of the team's food drive.
