Cleveland Monsters News Release
Let the Season of Giving begin! Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters fans can help underserved children throughout the northeast Ohio community enjoy the magic of the holiday season by donating new, unwrapped toys to the 2010 Cavaliers and Monsters Holiday Toy Drive presented by Charter One from November 24th to December 8th.
At every Cavaliers and Monsters home game starting at the Cavs vs. Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday, November 24th, fans can drop off toys at collection bins located at every entrance of Quicken Loans Arena. In addition, the public is invited to drop off toys at Charter One branches in Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark and Medina counties, and at Quicken Loans Arena at the Time Warner Cable Entrance during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
"Charter One is proud to partner with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lake Erie Monsters to make the holidays brighter for hundreds of children in need in our community," said Ken Marblestone, president of Charter One. "While many parents face challenges in today's economy, we hope the Toy Drive will help families experience the magic of the holiday season."
At the conclusion of the Toy Drive, the Cavaliers, Monsters and Charter One will host a holiday party where Monsters players and members of the Cavs game entertainment teams will present the toys to children from designated agencies. All donated toys will be distributed through agencies such as East End Neighborhood House, Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain County, Salvation Army, Project ACT, Merrick House and Westside Ecumenical Ministries.
""All for One. One for All.' isn't just about our team on the court," said team president Len Komoroski. "It applies to our fans and the entire community of Northeast Ohio. That's why this year's Toy Drive is going to be bigger and better than ever. Thanks in advance to everyone who will give generously and help make the diff this holiday season for others."
