Moose Sign Pitton to PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have signed forward Jason Pitton to a professional tryout contract.

Pitton, 24, attended training camp with the Moose. He has appeared in 11 games so far this season with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL where he has scored 11 points (3g, 8a), as well as 34 penalty minutes. The Brampton, ON native has now played in 72 career games in the ECHL with Stockton where he's collected 48 points (19g, 29a) and 111 penalty minutes. Pitton has also played in 161 games in the American Hockey League in his five-year pro career. In that span, he has 30 points (13g, 17a) and 150 penalty minutes.

Pitton was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the eighth round, 244th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
