
Barons Honor Military this Friday

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons are paying tribute to the men and women of the armed services at their game this Friday against the Texas Stars at 7:05 p.m.
For Military Appreciation Night, the Barons will wear special red/white/blue jerseys that are available for bids in a live auction following the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Limbs for Life Foundation. Limbs for Life provided prosthetic limbs for individuals who can't otherwise afford them.
The Barons are offering a special $4 discount for military personnel. Present your military identification card at the Cox Convention Center box office on the day of the game to take advantage of this offer. Discount not valid on the $10 tickets.
Joining the Barons for Military Appreciation Night will be three members from the cast of the series Band of Brothers. James Madio, who played Sgt. Frank Perconte, Ross McCall who played Cpl. Joseph Liebgott and Frank John Hughes who played SSgt. William "Wild Bill" Guarnere will be available to sign autographs beginning at 6 p.m. The trio will start the evening in the Barons Season Seat Holder Lounge from 6 - 6:30 p.m. and then will be available outside of the team store for 90 minutes.
The Barons are in the midst of a season-ling eight-game homestand. Faceoff Friday night against Texas, the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, is 7:05 p.m. Oklahoma wraps up the weekend Sunday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. against the Milwaukee Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. Following the game Sunday, fans will have the chance to skate with the entire Barons roster following the game. Fans may bring their own skates or skates will be available for rent at no charge.
