January 13, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Connecticut Whale News Release
HARTFORD, January 13, 2009: Northland AEG announced today that the Hartford Wolf Pack will wear limited-edition specialty jerseys in their home games this Friday, January 16th and Saturday, January 17th at the XL Center. Fans can then bid on the jerseys in an auction to be held at Saturday's game, with the auction proceeds going to benefit March of Dimes.
Friday night's game vs. Springfield, which faces off at 7:00 PM, offers an opportunity to view the jersey design, as the Wolf Pack battle the Falcons. At Saturday evening's game against Providence, scheduled for a special start time of 8:00 PM, silent auction bids will be taken on the jerseys as soon as the doors open, through the end of the second period.
During Saturday night's second intermission, the jersey bidding will be finalized with a live auction in the XL Center Atrium. Those fans whose bids are the highest on the individual jerseys will then be escorted down to ice level at the end of the game, and each player will autograph his jersey and present it to its winning bidder.
Tickets for Friday's and Saturday night's games, and for all Wolf Pack home games, are on sale at the XL Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Macy's at the Buckland Hills Mall and at the Westfarms Mall. Tickets may also be charged by phone at (860) 525-4500, (203) 744-8100, (203) 624-0033 or (413) 733-2500 or online at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
Information on all of the Wolf Pack's ticketing options, including full-season, six, and 10-game packages, coupon books and group discounts, is available at www.hartfordwolfpack.com, and by contacting the Wolf Pack Ticket Office at (860) 548-2000.
