
Lightning Recall D Kevin Quick from Admirals

TAMPA BAY, FL - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled defenseman Kevin Quick on an emergency basis from the Admirals, it was announced today by Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton. This is Quick's first career NHL call-up.
Quick, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound defenseman, has appeared in 14 games with Norfolk this season, going scoreless with four penalty minutes and a +3 rating. Quick also appeared in 18 games with the now-defunct Augusta Lynx of the ECHL, scoring two goals and four assists with ten penalty minutes.
The 20-year-old native of Buffalo, New York, made his professional debut with Norfolk last season, registering four assists and six penalty minutes in 18 games. In 32 career AHL games - all with the Admirals - Quick has four assists and ten penalty minutes.
Prior to joining Norfolk last season, Quick had two goals and two assists in 21 games with the University of Michigan Wolverines. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round (78th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft out of The Salisbury School in Connecticut.
The Admirals' nine-game homestand continues this week with a pair of contests against the Worcester Sharks. The puck drops on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:15.

Even the ice will be pink! Special $12 Red Level Tickets will be available for groups of 10 or more people. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
