Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms have made an addition and a time change to their weekend plans, all in the name of supporting the Philadelphia Eagles and their run to the NFC Championship Game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Phantoms are first welcoming a special guest to Friday's game against the Lowell Devils. Andy Reid, a Philadelphia resident whose name was relatively unobtrusive until the Eagles hired their head coach in 1999, will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck. The game is expected to include Flyers center Danny Briere in the second game of his conditioning assignment with the Phantoms.

Then on Sunday, the Phantoms have moved the start time of their game against the Albany River Rats to 7:05, a move made to better accommodate fans wishing to watch the Eagles-Cardinals game at 3:00. Fans are invited to come to the Wachovia Spectrum early to watch the Eagles game in Bullies Restaurant, which will open with a full menu at 3:00 and will stay open through the Phantoms game later in the evening.

Sunday remains a very special day for the Phantoms. The team will be wearing their first specialty jersey of the season, a replica of the jerseys worn by the Campbell Conference in the 1976 NHL All-Star Game. Flyers alums Jimmy Watson and Rick MacLeish, two of the players who represented the Flyers in that game, will be on hand to drop the first puck. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off in Bullies Restaurant.

Through a partnership with Babies ‘R Us, all tickets for kids 14 and under are just $5 for the rest of the season. Individual tickets for all remaining games are available now exclusively through ComcastTIX through phantomshockey.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200.
