
Bulldogs To Celebrate 1000th Game

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the club will play their 1000th regular season game tomorrow evening when they battle the Grand Rapids Griffins at Copps Coliseum and will be hosting a celebration of the milestone game on Friday, January 16th when the Lake Erie Monsters return to Copps Coliseum.
In honour of the 1000th game, the Bulldogs will be wearing commemorative jerseys during Friday night's game. Beginning at Wednesday's game, fans can place bids on the jerseys through a silent auction. The jersey will be on display Wednesday allowing fans to get a glimpse of the design before they are worn at the game. The winning bid will receive the jersey which will be autographed by the corresponding player.
Prior to Wednesday's game, a banner to celebrate the 1000th Bulldogs regular season game will be raised to the rafters. 'Dogs Assistant Captains Alex Henry, Dan Jancevski, Greg Stewart as well as a number of long standing season ticket holders and a few Hamilton Bulldogs special guests will be on the ice to help with the banner raising.
Two separate ceremonies will take place before Friday's game, the first to honour Hamilton Bulldogs Owner Michael Andlauer while the second to announce the first inductee's into the Bulldogs Wall of Fame. Throughout the game, unique 'Dogs prizes and historic memorabilia will be given out to fans in attendance. Some of the items include past Bulldogs jerseys, autographed 1000th game commemorative sticks, framed team pictures and other great memorabilia. One lucky fan will also win a pair of Hamilton Bulldogs seasons tickets for life.*
The 'Dogs battle the Grand Rapids Griffins in their 1000th regular season game at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow evening before they host the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, January 16th for a 7:30 p.m. match-up. Fans can listen to every Bulldogs game on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820. Fans can also listen or watch at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com by clicking on the 'AHL Live' or 'TALK 820' icons on the Bulldogs website. All regular-season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to each scheduled game-time.
