The Portland Winterhawks announced today their 2019-20 regular season schedule. Portland opens the '19-'20 campaign at home against the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, September 21 and the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday, September 22.

Following the Winterhawks home opening weekend, the team will embark on a seven-game road trip to take us to the end of October. This is their longest road trip of the season given six of those games are against the Central Division. Upon their return, the Winterhawks will host two October home games including one on Wednesday, October 23 against the reigning WHL Champion Prince Albert Raiders.

November is the month to heat up our U.S. Division rivalries. Fans can gear up for their first Battle with Seattle at home on Saturday, November 2. The Spokane Chiefs will make their first visit to the Rose City on Friday, November 15 and the Everett Silvertips will arrive in town the following weekend on Saturday, November 23.

The Winterhawks and Thunderbirds go head-to-head 12 times this season. Our televised games on Portland's CW will be released at a later date.

From December 13, 2019 to January 7, 2020, the Winterhawks will play nine straight games against U.S. Division opponents, including the annual New Year's Eve game with Seattle. The Hawks will take their holiday break from December 16-26, 2019.

For fans who enjoy midweek home games, the Hawks host three Tuesday night games in January and February. After a busy 2019, the Winterhawks regular season will end with a home-and-home series against Seattle on March 21 and 22.

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (0), Tuesday (6), Wednesday (5), Thursday (0), Friday (21), Saturday (22) and Sunday (14). Other schedule notables include hosting the defending Western Conference Champion Vancouver Giants on Wednesday, November 20th and visiting the Giants for their banner raising ceremony at their home opener on September 27. The 2020 Memorial Cup host team Kelowna Rockets will visit for two games over the January 18th weekend.

Please note that venue locations for all home games will be released at a further date. Stay tuned this summer for more information regarding the Neely Cup, Toyota Fan Fest, the promotional schedule and other key dates.
