The Wings were victorious in their nail-biter Tuesday night against the Syracuse Mets, 3-2.

RHP Tommy Romero (0-1) got the ball for the Wings tonight. He surrendered only two hits, struck out one, and walked three in 3.1 innings pitched.

With one out in the top of the third, DH Daniel Johnson ripped his first triple of the season down the right field line. This was the club's 30th three-bagger of the year. Johnson *would score on an RBI double by *CF Andrew Stevenson, his 20th hit off the Mets this year, to put the Red Wings up 1-0. This also extended Stevenson's on-base streak to 22 games.

In the top of the sixth with one out and the bases loaded, 3B Jake Alu grounded into a fielder's choice to score 2B Jecksson Flores, making the score 2-0.

Brill threw 2.0 scoreless innings without giving up a hit and fanned two.

In the top of the seventh, LF Nick Banks hit a towering solo-home run to right field for his eighth homer of the year, extending the Wings' lead to 3-0.

Baldonado hurled a scoreless 2.0 innings of hit-less ball while striking out three.RHP Reed Garrett *came into pitch the eighth and threw 0.2 inning. He gave up back-to-back solo home runs to make it a one run ballgame and gave way to *RHP Jordan Weems.

Weems threw the remaining 1.1 innings and gave up one hit while striking out and walking one. He earned his 16th save of the season in the process.

The Wings will send RHP Patrick Murphy (2-3) to the bump as they look to take game two of their series against the Mets Wednesday night at 6:35pm.
