Orlando, FL - Giving the Orlando Solar Bears their first home loss in 2014 (10 games) and their overall setback in 11 games, the Kalamazoo Wings defeated the Solar Bears 3-2 Saturday night at the Amway Center.

Keeping the puck in the attack zone late in the period, Chris Lawrence chipped a pass to the blade of Matt Caria for his team-leading 19th goal of the season. The 19th goals ties Caria with Florida Everblades forward Kyle Bonis for the league-lead among rookies.

Both Caria and Lawrence extended point streaks on the play. Caria has earned points in seven straight games, while Lawrence is on a four-game point streak.

Taking a wrist shot from below the right circle, Jake Hauswirth (5th) tied the game 8:08 into the second period.

Bouncing back moments later, Yannick Veilleux (14th) put the K-Wings ahead with a slap shot from between the circles. Veilleux's goal extended his point streak to a K-Wings' season-high tying 10 games.

Mickey Lang recorded the equalizer with a power-play tally late in the period. Lang's goal was his league-best 32nd of the season and his league-leading 10th with a man-advantage.

Kalamazoo went ahead for good lead early in the third period with the game-winning marker from Ryan Del Monte (5th) 3:25 into the stanza.

Joel Martin stopped 37 shots for the victory, including 19 saves in the final period.
