Evansville IceMen News Release

Today's game scheduled versus the Fort Wayne Komets WILL BE played as scheduled at 5:00PM (CDT) despite the local winter weather advisory. Both the ECHL League Office and Komet and IceMen Organizations made the decision earlier this morning to play the game as scheduled despite less than ideal circumstances with the weather.

With the worst of the winter storm largely still to our south and limited availability for both teams to find a makeup date this late in the year your home town IceMen will lace 'em up and skate with the rival Komets tonight in a game with several playoff implications on the line. We hope to see you in Our House to help give the boys support from the best fans in the League. If you can't make it you can catch all the action LIVE on WEOA Magic 98.5FM and online on www.evansvilleicemen.com .

Tonight is Subway Family Night plus the first 1,000 kids 12-and-under will receive an exclusive black, baby blue and white Youth Hockey Jersey presented by Orthopaedic Associates, Progressive Health and Deaconess Hospital. The IceMen (25-18-3-7; 60 pts.) enter tonight's contest vs. Fort Wayne (25-18-6-5; 61 pts.) having earned three out of a possible four points in a home-and-home series versus Cincinnati (31-20-1-2; 65 pts.) and the winner tonight could walk away with sole possession of the ever important 8th place position in the Eastern Conference.

Bundle up, drive safe and bring your cheering voice as we hope to see you tonight at the Ford Center for the 5 0' clock Puck Drop - Go IceMen!
