TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (34-15-2-3) will return to the ice after a seven-day hockey hiatus when they face their biggest division rival, the Stockton Thunder (26-21-0-5) at Stockton Arena. This is their 12th meeting this season, one of the newly added games since San Francisco's departure. The Thunder is coming off of two straight wins and the Reign lost their most recent match, their fifth straight against current league-leading Alaska.

TIME OF REST:

Both of these teams have been away from the ice for a long period of time. The Reign last played in Alaska to finish up their five-game home and away series. The Thunder played three games in a row against the Colorado Eagles after they had their own five-game series against the Aces from Feb. 7 through Feb. 15 including the ECHL Hockey Heritage Weekend games. Stockton also had a game against the Utah Grizzlies before each series.

FOLLOW THE LEADERS:

The Reign are missing some of their season leaders against the Thunder with Jake Newton (4g, 6a) on an AHL call-up to Bridgeport, and Mario Lamoureux (3g, 5a) and Kyle Kraemer (1g, 6a) no longer with the team, they will hope to see Tyler Gron continue with the success he had against Stockton with Idaho (1g) and San Francisco (6g, 2a). The Matts, Register and White, both have three goals and three assists against the Thunder and as part of the team's top scorers, will look to add to their season totals.

DIVISION AND CONFERENCES:

Ontario has a strong division record going 17-9-0-0 against teams in their division. Against Mountain Division teams, the Reign is 12-5-1-2. The team has 12 more Pacific Division match-ups, including today's game, through the end of the regular season and will face Mountain Division teams just five more times.
