July 29, 2013 - Midwest League (MWL1)
West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The popular Dime Dog promotion returns tomorrow, July 30, to Fifth Third Ballpark. The promotion falls at the end of July, sending National Hot Dog Month out with a bark.
The Whitecaps will be selling regular hot dogs for just ten cents at the 7:00 p.m. game against the Great Lakes Loons (gates open at 6:00 p.m.). That's a 96% discount off the $2.75 regular price. Every regular hot dog will cost just $0.10, including the bun and your choice of condiments! There is a limit of 10 dogs per transaction.
Tomorrow's promotion is the second of three scheduled Dime Dog days this season. Dime Dog Day debuted in 2010 during National Hot Dog Month (July) and was an instant success, with more than 1.6 hot dogs sold for every fan in attendance.
"This is always a fan favorite promotion," said Whitecaps Marketing Director Mickey Graham. "It's a game that fans mark on their calendars and look forward to every time we do it. We enjoy seeing people walking around with plates loaded with dogs."
The Whitecaps begin a short two-game set tomorrow night, with game two of the series on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The team then goes on the road for two games before returning home Saturday to start the final month of the season.
Tickets for all remaining home games are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com, or in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark ticket office (open Monday-Friday from 10 to 6 p.m.).
