
Vancouver Whitecaps FC to Kick off MLS Regular Season on February 29

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC will kick off the 2020 Major League Soccer regular season when they host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, February 29 at BC Place. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
TICKETS: Buy a 5-Pack before December 19 and get a sixth match free The 'Caps will then head to Southern California for their second match of the season, as they take on LA Galaxy in their home opener on Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m PT.
During the 2020 MLS regular season, each club will play 34 games, including 17 home games and 17 away games. Teams will face each of their conference opponents twice during the season, one game at home and one game away, for a total of 24 matches. The additional 10 regular season matches will be played against opponents from the other conference. Those inter-conference opponents will be revealed with the full 2020 schedule in the coming weeks.

The 2020 season opener will be the second consecutive year Vancouver will host a Western Conference opponent. Since the first season in MLS, Whitecaps FC have posted a 5W-3L-1D record in their regular season home opener and have an all-time season opener record of 23-16-5.
