Real Salt Lake to Face New York Red Bulls in 2020 Home Opener

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake in conjunction with Major League Soccer today announced its 2020 home opener against the New York Red Bulls on March 7 at Rio Tinto Stadium. RSL will welcome the Red Bulls after opening its 16th season in MLS a week prior on February 29 against Orlando City SC. Kickoff time for the club's match against New York is set for 12:00 p.m. MT.

RSL enters its 16th season in Major League Soccer having earned a 6-1-8 record all-time in home-opening matches dating back to its inaugural season in 2005 and is 5-1-5 all-time in home-openers held at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Real Salt Lake is 7-6-9 all-time in regular season matches against the Red Bulls, including a 6-0-5 home record. RSL finished the 2019 regular season with a 12-4-1 home record, good for the second-most home wins in MLS.
