Columbus Crew SC to Host Invitational College Combine this Saturday

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC today announced that it is set to host an invitational combine for college players on Saturday, December 7 at MAPFRE Stadium. The combine will help Crew SC evaluate some of the top young talent in the region ahead of the 2020 Major League Soccer SuperDraft presented by adidas.

"Hosting a college combine allows us to take an up-close look at players ahead of the MLS SuperDraft," said Crew SC Technical Director Pat Onstad. "This event helps us get to know the players and gain a better understanding of what the player pool in our region is like as we look towards the SuperDraft and beyond."

Players are selected based on Crew SC First Team scouting recommendations. The Crew's technical staff will evaluate the players during the session to determine whether they are able to perform at the professional level. The combine is by invite only and is a private event.

The Black & Gold begin the 2020 season against New York City FC at MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday, March 1. For tickets to the home opening match and complete details on 2020 Season Ticket Membership packages, supporters are encouraged to visit the Club's website, ColumbusCrewSC.com.
