FRESNO, Calif. - Kevin Truelson blasted home two goals in the third period to lead the Bakersfield Condors to their 300th franchise win, 3-2 over the Fresno Falcons, Friday night, in front of 5,060 at Save Mart Center.

The win gave the Condors 93 points on the year, a team record, and was their 41st of the season, tying the team mark set in 2002-03. In addition, the Condors clinched no lower than the third seed in the National Conference.

"This game was won with a good commitment to defense and great play by our special units," said Condors head coach Marty Raymond. "Everything added up to a good win."

For the seventh consecutive game, the Condors opponent scored first, when Jason Tejchma swatted his own rebound out of the air and past Jamie Hodson to make it 1- 0 Fresno at 5:55 of period two.

Bakersfield (41-16-11, 93 points) tied it up at 19:04 of the second stanza, when Brett Lutes finished off a two-on-one break with Alex Kim by beating Ryan MacDonald for his team-leading 31st of the year.

The Condors took the lead early in the third on the power-play, when Kevin Truelson drove in a slapshot from the right point to make it 2-1.

But Fresno (34-26-8, 76 points) knotted the contest at 2-2 just 1:31 later when John Morlang stuffed the puck into the net.

It looked bad for Bakersfield when Alexandre Bolduc took a slashing penalty with less than eight minutes remaining, but Truelson's second of the night and 17th of the season came short-handed with just 5:48 left in the game, and broke the 2-2 tie.

Notes: Bakersfield finished the 2006-07 season series 7-0-2 against Fresno, including 1-0-2 on the road.
