SERIES HISTORY:
Tonight is the eighth and final regular season match- up between the Condors and Thunder, with Bakersfield going 3-4-0 in the previous seven contests. It's the 16th all-time meeting between the two teams, with the Condors 10-5-0 against Stockton. On Opening Night (Oct. 20) Devan Dubnyk stopped 48 shots, including a penalty shot by Mike Hofstrand, as Stockton won, 6-1.
The teams split a weekend pair in Stockton on Jan. 12 and 13, with Bakersfield grabbing a 5-4 shootout win and Stockton snaring another 6-1 victory.
The next three match-ups were one-goal games. On Feb. 2 in Stockton, Josh Liebenow scored the game-winner in the third period and Jamie Hodson stopped 30 shots, including a penalty shot by Mike Lalonde, as the Condors nipped the Thunder, 3-2. On Feb. 9, Tyler Scott netted the game- winner in overtime at The Nest as Bakersfield prevailed again, 2-1. But Stockton turned the tables on Feb. 21, beating the Condors 2-1 in Stockton.
The Thunder prevailed once again in the last head-to- head meeting on March 17. Liam Reddox had a goal and two assists and Cam Ellsworth stopped 44 shots en route to a 4-1 victory, before 8,292 at The Nest. That's the fourth largest crowd of the season and eighth largest in franchise history.
